Poems of 50 years. A selection characterized by skepticism and irony. Valid only until retracted. Giesler waves at himself. He looks at himself from the outside. He holes up in terms, hides behind forms and peeks out, grinning, from both. Breaking and putting together is his work. Sometimes a prompter can be useful. The darkness is unvarying. The laughter as well. Nothing is sacred but everything can be forgiven. Manfred Giesler’s ultimate credo:
