Manfred Giesler

Manfred Giesler was born in Fürth in 1948 and never lived there. He had to go to all sorts of schools in a number of cities and countries. At 15 he was a singer in a rock band. In his early 20s he landed as an engineer in Berlin, learned both philosophy and to love philosophy for the rest of his life as well as theatre. He was not into writing, but what else ought he to do? He's got more behind him than he does ahead of him. Giesler admires Hans Henny Jahnn, Franz Schubert, and the Stones. He is into artwork an red wine, especially while mountain climbing.
