Brökel again raises the question: why war? When Einstein asked this Freud in a letter in 1932, the latter replied at the end "... Everything that promotes the development of culture also works against war." The book is entirely committed to this sense. In poems and haiku, Brökel continues the thoughts around peace from his friedenserhaltungssatz(Poems, 2020) with contemporary perspectives. The parallels to Brecht's war primer are not coincidental.
