Kirschenzeiten

„Kirschenzeiten“ is a coming-of-age novel about a girl living in Provence as part of an artist milieu. It is told from her perspective as a grown woman who has immigrated to Germany. It‘s about one place, a village in Provence: Rives. About the people who live there as well as those who stop by, stay a while, and often end up staying for good thanks to the unique magnetism of this little town. Farmers and artists, foreigners and natives live there. It‘s about being foreign and putting down roots, about living together. About art and nature, the nature of art and politics. Complexity and contrasts - Like the country and the city, light and shadow. Interwoven to the rhythm of diverse voices expected to come together in harmony.
