Description
The novel is about the fascination of Japan, about the dazzling lives of Western expats in Tokyo, but also about a nuclear technology that is spiraling out of control. The stories begin in the midst of this catastrophe with all its thrilling, frightening and tragic moments. It is about uprooting and fleeing, becoming a stranger in a foreign country and in one's own country, the search for oneself and finally new life plans. Some of the novel's protagonists put themselves in danger by trying to uncover the disastrous consequences of the accident. Crimes are to be solved and a criminal nuclear deal prevented. A sensational attempt is also made to prevent future catastrophes by predicting earthquakes.
