Anja Nolte

Anja Nolte is freelance artist and illustrator. Whether as an illustrator for DIE ZEIT, PRESTEL or the Swiss culture magazine Du with a graphic novel adaption of Dürrenmatt's "The Visit". Whether the animation of a cinematic trailer about the golden ratio (Museum for Communication Berlin) or an artistic room installation for the Skoovgaard Museum, Denmark. Anja Nolte searches for and passionately enjoys walking new, creative paths. Her works are regularly found in BEST-OF compilations. Stiftung Buchkunst in 2015 praised her illustration of Konstantinos Kaváfis' volume of poetry "Im Verborgenen" as "one of the 25 most beautiful German books". Her 2017 book about Munich has just been nominated for the World Illustration Award 2018. Nolte's second passion is music: she's a singer, plays jazz guitar and creates sound collages which often find their way into her work.
