The story of der ideenfabrikant takes place in the year 2039. A dynasty of media dictators has set in motion a kind of modern book burning. With the constant lull of TV fully unleashed (crime show-overload, quiz show-overload, soap-overload) fantasy on earth was subtly caused to evaporate. Mankind is living in slavehood in the idea factory. Then the world ambassador appears - and with him, fantasy steps into the limelight.
