Bruder Bruno. Jeder gegen Jeden Giordano Brunos Candelaio. – Zwei Theaterstücke

Manfred Giesler, theatreman and philosopher, has for years been discussing the character and work of the Dominican Giordano Bruno from Nola. The first play, Bruder Bruno., is the result of this effort. A chronological survey of his life, creative works, and failure at the end of the 16th century.

The second play is the translation and edit of a comedy by Giardano Bruno, Il Candelaio. (Released in 1582 and never staged in Germany.) In a sweeping blow of vicious mockery and dripping with derision, Bruno attacks everything that was and remains sacrosanct.
