Berlin ist kein Gedicht

This book of poetry by Angelika Leitzke, with illustrations by Sooki Koeppel, goes beyond the construction site of the new City Palace to take a look at some of the well-known and not so well-known nooks and crannies nestled into the metropolisof 3.5 million. It makes the statement that Berlin is not the poem some might thinkit is today. Or that some might think they must believe it to be. It most definitely will not be helpful to anyone looking for advice on how to get by in the city, a poetryalbum to read, or an introduction to finding your way around the touristy side of town. Anyone wanting to get to know Berlin on a deeper level - beyond all the hype - should start their search in this book.
