Schirin Zareh
Schirin Zareh, who grew up in Iran, studied philosophy, German and theatre studies at the FU Berlin and trained as an actor with teachers from the Actors Studio. After training as a singing teacher at the Lichtenberg Institute for Applied Vocal Physiology with Gisela Rohmert, she has been working as a freelance singing teacher in and outside Berlin for over 30 years. For over 25 years she has been travelling as a storyteller in libraries and schools with a focus on Persian stories, fairy tales and excerpts from epic stories by the most famous poets (Ferdowsi, Nezami, Attar), which she retells in her own version.
