Karin Müller-Römer

Karin Müller-Römer, born in Berlin in 1941, studied education in Stuttgart and then taught for 17 years as a teacher in Stuttgart and Taufkirchen near Munich. After completing further studies as a psychotherapist for children and adolescents at the Alfred Adler Institute in Munich, she worked in her own analytical practice.

Karin Müller-Römer has been writing poems since her childhood, numerous of which have been published in magazines and anthologies. In addition, her own volumes of poetry were published: "Ich frag die Krähen" (1991), "Grüne Wasser im Blick" (1997), "Am Ende der Sprache" (2002), "Eine Stimme rief mich im Schnee"(2006), "Gleiten von Nacht zu Nacht" (2009), "Verwehrt sich der Himmel" (2013) and "Leise Minuten" (2016). Readings took place in various bookstores and libraries.The book of poems now presented, "Wir Gegenwärtigen", includes a selection of poems published so far in the years 1985 to 2020, as well as new ones.
