Jürgen K. Hultenreich
Jürgen K. Hultenreich was born in Erfurt. Typographer, musician in the band Modern Blues, studied to be a librarian. Imprisoned after a failed escape from the republic. Expelled from the GDR to West Berlin in 1985. Freelance author and painter with exhibitions in Germany and abroad. Writes poetry, novels, short stories and biographies, most recently Venedig - Eine literarische Zeitreise; Hölderlin - Das halbe Leben; Friedrich Rückert in Neuses and Dein Ritter Hultenreich. 1990 Marburg Literature Prize, 2012 Third Prize Winner of the Hattingen Aphorism Competition, 2013 Kester Haeusler Honorary Prize of the German Schiller Foundation in Marbach and 2021 Curt Wills Prize.
