Harald Gröhler

Harald Gröhler is a member of the German PEN Centre, a member of the "Union des Poètes" in France (and a member of 7 literary associations in total). He is also a recipient of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He has also won first prize several times in literary competitions. He has also been a juror for a literary prize himself since 2023. Individual passages of his work (28 books to date, including 9 volumes of poetry) have so far been translated into 11 languages. Gröhler lives in Berlin. He used to undertake hitchhiking trips, including high-risk ones, across Europe and to Asia Minor. Gröhler founded the "Gruppe Intermedia" (actors from various art disciplines; since disbanded). Gröhler has been chairman of the small, international "Autorenkreis Plesse" since 2017. He has earned money several times as a visiting professor at state universities in the USA. A film director made a video about one of Gröhler's poems (which was then shown in Deutsche Bahn ICE trains). Several of Gröhler's poems have been set to music.
