Gerda Lepke

Gerda Lepke, born in 1939 in Jena and raised in Gera, 1957-1963 training and work as a nurse in Güstrow and Dresden, 1963 evening course at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, 1966-1971 study at Dresdener Hochschule für Bildende Künst, freelancing since 1971 in Dresden and Gera, 1979 graphic design prize of Biella/ Italy, 1989 co-founder of the artist group "Dresdner Sezession", 1990/91 Künstförderpreis of the city of Bonn, 1993 first art award of the city of Dresden, 1996 co-founder oft he Saxon Academy of Arts, works in Gera and Wurgwitz bei Dresden, study visits und trips to Brazil, Georgia, Italy, Portugal, Russia, numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad, works in public and private collections. Wolfgang H. Scholz shot a film portrait about the artist in 2008/09 called "das Bild in mir"
